TORBOLE AND NAGO

Sailing and windsurfing mecca with postcards views.

Torbole, once a little fishing village, has turned into an internationally renowned sailing and surfing centre of lake Garda. The tiny harbour is the most picturesque corner of Torbole and the town has skilfully preserved its original features and lay-out.

Nago is situated on a spur of rock north of Torbole at the foot of the 12th century Castle of Penede and offers a breathtaking view. The castle and the forts have been restored and are open to the public.
A pleasant walk from Nago to Torbole will lead you past the Marmitte dei Giganti, glacial excavation wells dating back to the Quaternary era.
